When it comes to dulling your chisel blades, nothing compares to rock maple when cutting dovetails. The two tool tills for my Traveling Anarchists Tool Chest are made from some locally harvested rock maple. Sixteen hand-cut dovetails later, Ive wrapped up the weekend with both tills ready to sand and attach the bottoms. I still have plenty of work to do, but this concludes the dovetailing for this project, thankfully. Next up are the carcass glides for the two tills, saw till, lid hinges and finishing. Im targeting the end of February to wrap this up to make room for a new commission project.
