A Letter from Frank David, Midwest Woodworking Co. Inc
The following is a letter from Frank David, the owner of Midwest Woodworking Co. Inc. regarding the upcoming sale on August 16-17th from 9am-2pm. The price list is available from this link:
Fellow woodworkers and patrons,
All our lumber is priced competitively at current wholesale prices, the quality is outstanding. All lumber was purchased as FAS, for domestic, and First European Quality, for the exotics. Due to the age of the material the size and thickness is beyond currently available stock from other sources.
The David’s have traveled the world to procure superior lumber for their Architectural Millwork business. Now for the first time the surplus from these projects is available to the furniture and professional woodworking market at wholesale prices.
Due to the nature of our facility and the inherent dangers inside no one under 16 will be allowed into the plant. Those of you who must bring children, you will be asked to leave them at the checkout by our cashier. Our sales associates will assist you in your purchases and machining, however, please bring help to move the lumber from their stack to a shop cart. So as to preserve the mix of material for all; we must sell the lumber as it is stacked. You are limited to pick the stock in the top layers and any lumber not required must be returned to the inventory for others to purchase.
Much of our inventory consists of examples that are either endangered or no longer available to be purchased from other sources. There will be a 5% discount on all orders of 250 Bd. Ft. or $ 5,000.00 or more. Ohio Sales Tax of 6.5% will be charged on all sales. We can accept cash and checks only. Based on size of order, shipping can be arranged following in person, or remote purchases.
Our veneer is available to be made into panels, any size, up to 5’-0” by 12’-0” on particle board or MDF core. The cost is based on quantity and size of the panels plus the cost of the veneer. Panels will not be sanded to allow for maximum veneer thickness for sanding scratches by the craftsman. It can be shipped to you for the cost from the shipping company.
Never forget to produce the best one has to start with the best.
